My interdisciplinary practice crosses the conventional boundaries between art, architecture and performance. It is grounded in embodied, material processes, acts of making: stitching, painting, knitting, writing, drawing and assembling. Exploring how these are then situated in terms of space and time, leads to different outcomes and the result may be something to wear, something to hold, something to hang on the wall or somewhere to live.

My career formally began as an architect, working in London and then Milan where I established my own design studio. This was followed by a period of time spent in the hills of Emilia Romagna in northern Italy when my work began to expand into visual arts and textiles. On returning to the UK, I established my artistic practice at the Bluecoat in Liverpool where I am still based.

I recently completed an MA in Performance at Liverpool Hope University which took my work to new places while providing a lens through which to deepen my exploration of the intersection between art and architecture. I am now taking this research further with a PhD exploring spatial performativity in relation to contemporary curatorial practice.
